We have had multiple complaints about streetlights over the past year, including of lights glaring into people's houses at night.
We have also had multiple requests to either install a shield, move or even remove streetlights outside of people's houses.

This would help to prevent issues for parishioners affected by streetlights outside their homes at night, whilst keeping the streets safe during the hours people are typically out of the house.

This will also help to reduce the cost of running the streetlights, as the cost of this has increased alongside the growing cost of electricity.

Not only this, but having the lights off during this time each night will help to preserve the natural beauty of the night sky, reducing light pollution in the town and allowing us all to see more of the stars.
